Description
Three F-14 Tomcat patches in one set: the swept-wing airframe, the Grumman Tomcat cat and the F110-GE-400 "Speed Is Life Baby" engine patch.
Grumman's F-14 first flew on 21 December 1970 and went to sea in September 1974 with VF-1 Wolfpack and VF-2 Bounty Hunters aboard USS Enterprise. The airframe patch shows the wing swept all the way back. The cat was drawn at Grumman by artist Jim Rodriguez in the early 1970s, with two tails and a six-shooter on the left for the jet's twin tails and gun. The F110-GE-400 powered the F-14B and F-14D.
