Everybody remembers where they started. For most sailors since 1999 that means Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, the Navy's only boot camp after Orlando and San Diego closed their gates. For Marines it is Parris Island or MCRD San Diego, and the yellow footprints.
This collection gathers the patches from those first weeks and the schools that followed: Naval Training Center San Diego, NATTC Millington and Memphis, Nuclear Power School, Officer Development School, 29 Palms. If your training command made a patch, it is probably here.
