Description

The 58th Rescue Squadron patch wears its motto at the top and its crest at center — the full weight of the pararescue mission in a few inches of embroidery. Circular, sky blue with a gold border, the patch carries maroon scrolls top and bottom: "COURAGE AND HONOR" above, "58TH RESCUE SQ" below. At center sits the classic PJ device — a winged globe pierced by a sword, the emblem that has meant one thing since the rescue community adopted it. This is the hook and loop version.

The 58th Rescue Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada trains Combat Rescue Officers and Pararescuemen. They run continuation training, tactics development, and the kind of sustained pressure that tests whether training actually holds when conditions get hard. Every active PJ passes through this pipeline at some point. The 58th is where the standard gets maintained.

The patch is circular with a sky blue field and gold merrow border. The maroon scrolls carry "COURAGE AND HONOR" and "58TH RESCUE SQ" top and bottom, with the winged globe and sword device rendered in silver and gray at center. The hook and loop backing makes it field-attachable and easy to swap between kits.

For PJs and CROs who trained at Nellis, or anyone connected to the Combat Rescue community, the 58th patch is part of the lineage. The training pipeline is long and demanding. The people who came out the other side remember what the 58th put them through.

Courage and honor isn't a slogan. It's the entry requirement. This patch marks who showed up.
