136th Attack Squadron

The 136th Attack Squadron (136 AS) is a unit of the New York Air National Guard 107th Airlift Wing located at Niagara Falls Joint Air Reserve Station, New York. The 136th is equipped with the C-130H Hercules. Its role is for airlifting and has been active since 1948. During its tactical Air Command engagement in 1968, some members were awarded Purple Heart; 43 received Air Medals and one with Distinguished Flying Cross. Captain Joseph L'Hullier was awarded the New York State Medal of Valor.
