Description
United States Navy & Coast Guard AGB-4 USS Glacier was a United States Navy Icebreaker commissioned from 1955 to 1966, at that time the ship was transferred to the United States Coast Guard. The USS Glacier Served in 15 Operation Deep Freeze expeditions, and had the capability of breaking a 20 foot thickness of ice and the ability to continuously break 4 feet of ice at 3 knots.
