SS-565 USS WAHOO "C VERSION" Westpac 76 - a Tang-class submarine, was the second ship of the United States to be named for the wahoo, a dark blue food fish of Florida and the West Indies. Wahoo earned three battle stars for service in the Vietnam War. See USS Wahoo for other ships of the same name.
