Description
U.S.S. Dorado was launched by the Electric Boat shipyard at Groton, Connecticut in May of 1943. After fitting out, she was commissioned on 28 August, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Earle C. Schneider. With her trials completed, Dorado departed New London on 6 October 1943, bound for the Panama Canal Zone and the Pacific. - Light blue and blue background featuring an eagle and fish looking submarine.
