Description

Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst brought three major installations together under one command—McGuire Air Force Base, Fort Dix, and Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst—and this patch reflects all three with a design that's genuinely unique among joint base insignia. The multi-pointed gold sunburst border frames a blue semicircle with three stars above red and white stripes, with a gray eagle at center. The scroll at bottom carries all three base names. It's a busy design, and it earns every element.

McGuire was a major airlift hub for AMC operations, moving personnel and cargo across the Atlantic and around the world. Fort Dix trained soldiers for decades, serving as one of the Army's primary training installations in the Northeast. Lakehurst was the historic site of both early naval aviation and the Hindenburg disaster—one of the most storied pieces of real estate in American military history. The joint base combines all of that into a single installation in the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

If you served at any of the three installations before or after the merger, this patch marks a posting with deep history and serious operational significance. It's also a strong collector piece for anyone focused on AMC, Army training history, or the unique combination of services that defines JBMDL.

The sunburst border and eagle center make this a visually striking patch. The three-star blue semicircle over the red-and-white stripes creates a clear visual reference to the three installations and their respective service identities. The scroll lettering is clean and readable.

Popular Patch carries patches from joint bases and installations across all branches and regions. If you served at JBMDL or at any of its predecessor installations and are looking for patches to mark that service, browse the full catalog.
