Description
                        The Iowa State Flag is a vertical tricolor designed by the state's daughter of the American Revolution Dixie Cornell Gebhadt. A bald eagle in the center carrying on its beak a blue streamer of the motto, "Our liberties we prize, and our rights we will maintain".
 The national bird, the bald eagle is a symbol of freedom.
