In late 2025, veteran-led nonprofit Grey Bull Rescue carried out one of the most high-risk and high-profile missions in its history, Operation: Golden Dynamite, to extract Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate María Corina Machado from Venezuela. Facing intense surveillance and active pursuit by the Maduro regime and hostile intelligence services, Machado had spent nearly a year in hiding because her visibility made conventional evacuation routes too dangerous or compromised. Grey Bull Rescue’s team of experienced operators developed a discreet maritime extraction plan under extreme political sensitivity and security pressure, navigating rough seas and tight timelines. The mission culminated in Machado’s safe removal from Venezuelan waters and her subsequent arrival in Norway, where she was reunited with her family and positioned to receive her Nobel Peace Prize — a dramatic and successful demonstration of Grey Bull Rescue’s ability to execute complex, sensitive exfiltrations when conventional channels are not viable.
