US ARMY 180th INFANTRY REGIMENT PATCH 1st Battalion - 180th Infantry Regiment The history of the 1st Battalion, 180th Infantry can be traced to the 1st Infantry Regiment, Oklahoma Volunteer Militia, which was constituted in 1890. It was reorganized on May 1st 1959 as the 180th Infantry, a parent regiment under the Combat Arms Regimental System, to consist of 1st and 2d Battle Groups, elements of the 45th Infantry Division. It was reorganized on April 1st 1963 to consist of 1st and 2nd Battalion, elements of the 45th Infantry Division. It was again reorganized on February 1st 1968 to consist of the 1st Battalion, a non-divisional unit. - Blue background with three arrows forming a triangle in the center and a detailed native american head at the top with the words "Tanap Nanaiya Kia Alhtaiyaha" on a scroll near the bottom.
