Description

There was once a 1st, 2nd, 3rd , 4th and even 5th Battalions of the 114th Field Artillery, but reorganizations, realignments, etc. have reduced the regiment to two battalions the 1st and 2nd. The roots of the 2nd Battalion, 114th Field Artillery are found in central Mississippi and its rolling hills. The parent organization of all artillery in the state is the 1st Mississippi Light Artillery which served with honor in the War Between the States. Called again for service in the Spanish American War and World War I (as the 140th FA). - Red background with gold dragon emblazoned in the center.
