Description
AH-14 USS Tranquility was built as the SS Marine Dolphin and was converted to a Haven class hospital ship. The USS Tranquility deployed to the Palau Islands to receive the survivors of the USS Indianapolis which was sunk by a Japanese submarine after transporting the first atomic bomb Little Boy to Tinian Island to be dropped on Hiroshima.
