Description
The USS Annapolis AGMR-1 actively served her 5 year deployment on and near the DMZ of Vietnam. The Annapolis was heavily relied on by near by ships and shore installations, due to the high demand the ship averaged 55 days at sea between port calls. The Annapolis was not the first ship with an antenna array on its flight deck, nor was it the first ship capable of delivering satellite communications but her service and dedication in Vietnam tested and paved the way for worldwide Naval communications as we know them today.
