Description
The Navy component in Europe, the commander of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, organizes, and supports naval operations in the European theater during times of peace and in war. CNA provides overall order, operational control, and collaboration of U.S. Naval Forces in the European and African Command area of responsibility. NAVAF works with European, African, and South American governments, to break down militant networks, interupt illicit trafficking, and also work against piracy and maritime crime.
