Description
Established in 1826 as a small dispensary to provide medical care to sailors stationed at the Pensacola Naval Yard, Naval Hospital Pensacola has a rich history of growth and expansion. During World War II, the hospital played a critical role in providing medical care to wounded servicemen and women. Today, the hospital remains a vital resource for military personnel and their families, providing top-quality medical care and training programs to military medical professionals. In 1993, Naval Hospital Pensacola became one of the first military medical facilities to be accredited by JCAHO, a recognition of its commitment to providing high-quality medical care.
