U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Units (PSUs) are deployable Coast Guard Reserve units tasked with the security and anti-terrorism protection of ports of embarkation/debarkation, waterways, and high value U.S. naval forces' assets in support of U.S. expeditionary operations. Their core waterside and shore-side security components are the impressively tactical Transportable Port Security Boats (TPSBs) and several squads of highly skilled maritime infrastructure security specialists, respectively. PSUs can also be engaged domestically in support of homeland security and other Coast Guard operations.
