Description
USASA Field Station Augsburg - originally established April 14th, 1970 as a fixed site operated by the Army Security Agency.
Field Station Augsburg has been home to many personal through the years including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Operations Battalions and the redesignated 701st Military Intelligence Brigade.
Personal assigned to Augsburg were Morse Code, Teletype, Voice Intercept and Radio Direction Finding Operators as well as Traffic Analysts and Cryptanalysis/Cryptanalytic Technicians.
The DUI of FSA was approved on November 23, 1984 and redesignated 701st MI Brigade in January of 1988.
