Description
The 107th Fighter Squadron has a rich history dating back to World War II. Originally activated as the 107th Observation Squadron, it flew reconnaissance missions in North Africa and Italy. After being redesignated as the 107th Fighter Squadron, it became part of the Air National Guard and flew various aircraft throughout its history. The squadron was called into active duty during the Korean War and Gulf War and has also played a role in homeland defense and disaster response efforts. Today, the 107th Fighter Squadron remains an important component of the Michigan Air National Guard with a proud legacy of service to the United States.
